There are a few guidelines in place to protect all of the pets in boarding care. Make sure that before boarding your pet, their immunizations are up-to-date. If not, please make an appointment with your O’Neal Lane Pet Hospital veterinarian for any necessary vaccines. The standard immunizations we require for canines are rabies, canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza virus, canine parvovirus, leptospirosis, and bordetella (kennel cough). Cats must also be immunized against rabies, as well as feline rhinotracheitis virus, calicivirus, and panleukopenia virus. Your pet must also be free of fleas and ticks. Any animals with fleas or ticks will be treated for those parasites at the owner’s expense. Please remember your pet’s medications and any special dietary items. And of course, any special toys or comfort items like favorite blankets are welcome to help make your pet feel at home.
